Experience Guide
On this site we want to primarily focus on Roleplay for the Characters and interactions. That being said this is a Pokémon sight and Pokémon are truly the focus and Heroes' in a sense of the sight. Characters get recognized for the strength and ability of their Pokémon whether that is in the League Area becoming the next League Champion or racing the great sled races across Tokai. Whatever your individual journey Pokémon are going to be a part of it and as such Pokémon will have the ability to level up and get stronger as a character roleplays out their unique story.
Each Pokémon will have the following breakdown:
(Pokémon will either be in your Character Page if active or in your Character Box)
Pokémon Image
Pokémon Name
Nickname Name: [trainer chooses]
Gender: [MOD chooses]
Level: [will depend]
Attacks: [Based on Species]
Ability: Torrent
Nature/Personality: [MOD chooses]
This site uses the main series Pokémon game systems for nearly everything, so if you are familiar with the games you already know how battles work. The flow of an encounter is as follows:
A Mod posts the Encounter, including what Pokémon you'll face & its level.
In your reply you send out a Pokémon of choice and declare a move. Only one move per post to maintain the turn-based feature of the games. Also add detail and bring the battle to life with your posts. This is not a video game but an RP write it and allow readers to experience the thrill of the battle.
You cannot control whether your Pokémon dodges an attack
Special Note: If you're using an Item or Switching Pokémon mid battle, you may also take another battle action in the same post. (Eg: Switch + Item, Item + Move, Switch + Move) However, that will count as 2 turns so your opponent would also get to take 2 actions. The Running Shoes also allows two moves but only once per battle.
*Switching a fainted Pokémon does not cost a turn in battle.
*This only applies to single battles; not doubles or triples.
A mod will respond with a battle screen, illustrating the HP, moves, effects, etc, and RP detailing the events.
